I’m a scientist and artist based in Toronto, interested in representing nature across scales through painting and microscopy & writing about the intersections and interactions of nature, science, art, and culture.
Recently, as a Postgraduate Associate in the Yale University Department of Neuroscience, I studied the neuronal metabolism in the model nematode C. elegans and founded SciCHAI, a science + arts journal club at Yale’s Wu Tsai Institute. I also teach science to kids!
See the gallery for my mixed-media sketches and microscopic images, and my CV for more info. Current projects and collabs include a lot of ongoing microscopy image processing, a zine about the camera and the eye, and an old-internet horror game.
